Melanie Morgan Leaves KSFO Radio, Amicable Parting
Can I just say that I have had so much fun? It has been a terrific ride with KGO TV, KGO Radio, ABC Radio and KSFO going back to 1981, when I was like, 12.
I'm proud to have worked as an international hotspot reporter, covering the uprising for Democracy at Tianamen Square, the Beirut bombing of the Marine Compound, the Mexico City earthquake and many other stories that I can blab on and on about but I will save it for my kids, poor things.
My time as a talk show host for KSFO has been highlighted by the privilege of working with the late Lee Rodgers and Officer Vic. We made some magic on the radio.
The listeners of KSFO helped us change the world. We eliminated the cancer-causing agent MTBE from our fuel and we recalled then-Governor Gray Davis (boy, was that a gas!)
I traveled to Iraq, met Vice-President Dick Cheney (that really annoyed a bunch of liberals) and sent over 6 tons of care packages to our troops.
Does it get any better than that?
With a toss of my (not-so-natural) blonde hair, I quote my predecessor:
"And now, if you'll excuse me…."
