This Sunday, May 11th is Mothers Day, and there are 2 great patriotic mothers that many Americans will pay tribute to.  It’s a testament to the selfless nature of these two ladies that they would both take time away from their personal lives to lend their time, energy and efforts to support and honor America’s finest – our military men and women.  

Patti Patton-Bader, Founder of Soldiers’ Angels, is featured first.

 We here at Move America Forward have been blessed to work with the wonderful pro-troop organization, Soldiers' Angels (http://soldiersangels.org). 

They are wonderful allies in the pro-troop movement!  Patti Patton-Bader, the founder, is one of 15 finalists to be "America's Favorite Mom" in a big NBC contest.

 

There are five categories, and she is nominated with two other mom's in the "military mom's" category. The winner receives a $250,000 cash prize, and Patti has said she’d like to use the money to build a ranch for soldiers and their families to vacation at with assistance from Angel families.

The second Mom referred to in this e-mail from Move America Forward is, well, me. I don’t think that I am so special, in fact, I consider myself quite ordinary in my love of our country, and our troops.

But Move America Forward is planning a special tribute to me in San Francisco next Saturday, so that we can kick-off our efforts to raise $100,000 for the summer campaign against the MoveOn.org crowd who are trying to bring our troops home in defeat.

I hope that I have a chance to meet the many listeners of KSFO Radio where I was employed for the past 14 years, and thank-you for your support.  I am  honored to have so many friends, including KSFO's Brian Sussman, who is coming to the event on Saturday, and Michael Graham, a talk-show host from Boston and former comedian who has headlined for Robin Williams and Jerry Seinfeld.
