DAY 12 of TPX IV was all Michigan--Jackson, Waterford and Monroe. Pictured below is one of the Michigan rally scenes. The patriots in Michigan mean business, and if you don't believe me, ask Bart Stupak from the TPX III days! Andrea Shea King has more from yesterday's rallies at The Radio Patriot.

DAY 13 has the crew on a two-state swing, with rallies in
Columbus, Oh--10 AM; and Wheeling, WV--3:30 PM. Tea Party HD and Liberty.com are just one click away from bringing you to the rally via your computer. Give it a try--no sign-up--just click!

With just a few days remaining for TPX IV, I'd again like to mention those folks who are making sure the word gets spread far and wide: Terresa Monroe-Hamilton at NoisyRoom; John Ruberry at Marathon Pundit; Melanie Morgan at Melanie Morgan.com; Barbara at American Freedom; and one Grant at Tea Party Movement. The TPX IV efforts were much more effective with the help of these bloggers--more money was raised, more people watched and attended the rallies, and more people became aware of the vast Tea Party movement sweeping our nation. And one more blogger I need to mention: Douglas V. Gibbs at Political Pistachio. Thanks, Doug!

CONTRIBUTE to the TEA PARTY EXPRESS--the tour ends on Monday and the election ends on Tuesday, but that just means we're having a change in personnel in Washington DC. The work of TPX doesn't end Tuesday. In fact, the real work will just begin. Our national problems aren't going to be solved with this one election. We have to keep a close eye on those new members headed for DC, plus we have to round-up another new batch of patriots for the next cycle. We're in a deep hole and it will take some time, money and lots of other support from YOU to get this nation back on track. So far, so good.

*UPDATES from tour embed Andrea Shea King will fall in below as our gal on the road calls them in. Check back often. Below, Kevin Jackson with Andrea Shea King in St. Louis. (Photo by Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit.)

  • Tea Party, Change We Can Believe In

With only days left before the midterm elections, the question in many people’s minds is whether the elections will produce change that matters or change what matters. This may sound like a semantics game but it really goes much deeper. You see, the BarackObama.com website boasts that Obama will bring us “change that matters.” Yet it seems to this writer that the Obama administration, along with the Democrat-controlled Congress, actually “changed what matters.” I believe this is why the tea party movement was born. Many organizing these grassroots movements feared that Congress had been quickly changing what matters to the average American.

The president recently said in front of an audience at a $900,000 West Newton, Mass., fundraiser that he blamed the recession for Americans’ inability to “think clearly.” The president went on to say, “we’re hardwired not to always think clearly when we’re scared.”

This statement is code that the folks in the tea party movement aren’t thinking clearly, that they are kooky or nuts. The president is right about Americans being scared. They are scared of the president and the Democrat-controlled Congress.

If the president really believed his statement, then why would he continue to scare the public by spending an estimated $60K per hour of taxpayer money criss-crossing the country on Air Force One.

In contrast, the Tea Party Express has been criss-crossing the country over the last two weeks at a cost of $0 to these scared Americans. Their “Air Force One” is a duo of buses and their whistle stops don’t contain belittling statements about the American public. Instead, these stops are upbeat and patriotic, with many themed around honoring those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country in war. All of these stops are sprinkled with motivational and inspirational speeches.

Embedded Central Florida conservative radio show host and blogger Andrea Shea King is spending the entire two weeks on the Tea Party Express bus. She spoke to the chairman of the Tea Party Express, Amy Kremer, about what message she wanted the Tea Party to express. Kremer said this: “When Americans go to the polls, they should go with a smile on their face because we are making history — we’ve worked tirelessly to change people’s minds in Washington, DC. We haven’t been able to do so … now we will change their faces. It’s a testament to the power of the people.”

Note to the president: Your presidency and the Pelosi/Reid Congress became the leader of “change in what we believe in.” Come November 3rd, you will see that the Tea Party Express and others like them are the “change we can believe in.”

Elizabeth B. Letchworth is a retired, elected United States Senate Secretary for the Majority and Minority. Currently she is a senior legislative adviser for Covington & Burling, LLC and is the founder of www GradeGov.com.

White House Insider: "President Obama is lost. Absolutely lost."

Published by Ulsterman on October 26, 2010 in US Politics

Part two of our most lengthy and detailed interview yet with the White House Insider.

Author’s Note: Due to the amount of information received in our most recent two-hour interview at the office of the White House Insider, the interview was broken into two parts. Here now is part two:

    facebook.com/Ulsterman1

    _______

In your email to me last week, you indicated a scandal was coming to the White House.  Could you elaborate a bit more on that now?  Sadly, with this White House it is no longer a matter of a scandal, but of scandals.  I see you did a story recently on the Justice Department situation surrounding the voting rights case.  Continue watching that – it’s going to break open more soon after Republicans take the House.  As you stated, it’s going to be investigated.

So is that the scandal you were speaking of?  No – and yes. (Silence)

Ok… I have to be very-very careful here.  You need to understand that.  I cannot say too much or my position is clearly exposed – or it could be.  So I’m hesitant to say too much or the wrong thing.

But you said in your email last week that…I know what I said. I know that.  You don’t need to repeat what the email said, ok?  I’m not the only one who needs to be careful here you know.  You are getting too bold with this thing.  I don’t mind using you to throw up some balloons, but I don’t want you getting hurt for it – and you’re stepping on some very large feet now with this stuff.  I don’t know if you fully appreciate that, or the dangers that come with it.

At least give us an idea on this scandal you indicated earlier.  However you wish to say it, I promised my readers information.  (Laughs) Your readers!  You are really getting into this thing now aren’t you!? Your readers…uh-huh.  Don’t forget who gave you this information.  Don’t forget who can take it away, ok?  And I will.  You’re playing your part in this – and I am writing the script.  Don’t you -expletive- forget that.

Just tell me about this scandal.  (Leans back, folds arms across chest.  Looks outside – then back to me) Ok then – I’ll point your nose in the right direction.  Enough people are sniffing in the same garbage pile anyways, including the Times.  Though I suspect they are burying it at the moment, or trying to.  They are still heavily invested in Obama, but that may change soon… Go back to Chicago.  That is the key.  There is other crap around the White House, other things that could trip them up, but Chicago is where the real heavy deal is that could bring the administration down.  Go back and review Blagojevich.  Go back and review Rezko, Barton, Stern,  Giordano, Carothers, Jarret.  It’s one and the same. It’s all connected, and it’s big.  And people know.  The White House is -expletive- itself over this stuff.  Pelosi has it. Clintons have it – more of it than they had in 2008.

(Interrupts) What do you mean “have it”?  The information – the story.  At least some of it, enough of it.  It’s all a chess match you know.  A series of moves. Right now the White House is scrambling, and they don’t know enemies from friends anymore.  The party is attempting to localize the damage so it doesn’t spread.  Make it just about Chicago, and worst case, Obama – but not the party.  And so you look back to Chicago, you look at the Justice Department, connect the dots.  One investigation will potentially reveal the other.  And it’s all setting up to happen now if the November elections go down with a Republican landslide.  Obama will be left without protection.  His inner circle is scared to death.  I mean truly frightened by the prospects of what could be coming at them in the coming months.  They have enemies both in the Republican Party and the Democratic Party.  President Obama is lost.  Absolutely lost.”

So what is your part in this? Why come to me and start all of this?  I’ve answered that before. I love my party. I love my country.  And yes, I love the game.  I won’t be at this much longer…or maybe I will, who knows? (laughs)  I  had such great hopes for President Obama.  Those hopes have been crushed.  It wasn’t an easy thing to see.  On the campaign, the guy was so good.  Brilliant.  I told you that already, I know – repeating myself now.  But…I get emotional thinking back to 2008 and how much fun that was.  Then I think to how fast it all went wrong, how soon we all started to see that there was so little to the man.  We got caught up in the moment, and forgot to consider the consequences of electing someone who was simply not prepared to be President.  We screwed up.  I guess in a way, these interviews I am giving you are a way to…make up for that.  At least in some little way.

Or maybe you enjoy screwing with the White House? Oh sure, there’s that.  Yeah…guilty as charged.  But it’s also much more than that.  I really believe the party needs to purge itself of this administration.  And I think we will.  November is a start in that direction.  New leadership will emerge.  The White House will be marginalized – perhaps so much so that there will be a Democrat challenger to Obama in 2012.

Purge the party of this administration? You really feel the Obama White House is that bad?  You remember that question – and then you can come back and ask me again later next year when this scandal finally comes to the surface.

The scandal in Chicago? Chicago is the primary component – but it will likely start in D.C. – one thing will lead to the other.  The Justice Department, and back to Chicago.

And what if this never happens?  What if there is no scandal? What if Obama is simply re-elected in 2012 and serves a full and successful second term?  I suppose that is a possibility – but not a probable one.  They are scrambling to make that happen, but after November, the White House loses its protection.  I told you that – you understand that, right?

You are talking about Congress?  Yes-yes…without Congress, without the Congressional leadership to quash potential hearings, the White House is far more vulnerable.  Remember Lewinski?  If the Democrats had not lost Congress in 1994, there would have been no scandal – at least not to the extent that it became.  But Democrats didn’t control Congress, and so the scandal was allowed – encouraged by those -expletive- Republicans to move ahead.  Same thing with Watergate.  Democrats in Congress allowed the scandal to grow and move ahead.  That’s how it works.  And now we have a Democrat President, realizing he is looking at a Republican Congress, and he is facing a real -expletive- storm.

You used Watergate as an example.  Do you really think Obama could be facing a Watergate type scandal?  I mean, something that big?  Yes I do.  I hope not.  That is what is going on right now – I’m trying to explain that part of it to you but maybe I’m not doing a good enough job of it.  There are those in the party – the Democratic Party, who are right now actively preparing for that possible outcome and taking protective measures to protect the party.  Let Obama go down for it – but save the party.  President Obama in turn – at least those around him who are capable enough still to function in that way, are trying to keep the party entangled in the mess, to motivate them to continue protecting the White House.  THAT is what is going on right now.  And the stakes are very high – the repercussions very serious.  That is why I keep telling you to fully appreciate the dangers here.  This stuff is no joke.  That is why I came to you.  If this goes bad, and it could just like that, I can pull the plug.  And make no mistake – I will.

I get that – but I’m still having a hard time believing a scandal so big is not being reported by the media.  You’re wrong there.  It is being reported – bits and pieces of it.  The story will already be out there and growing before the mainstream finally runs with it.  Don’t forget, most of them still want to protect the White House.  That is simply fact.  I know this – I worked directly with them during the campaign.  But it’s starting to change – and eventually it will break.  The barbarians haven’t broken down the gate yet – but after these midterms, they will.  Look at the Democrats who are now openly challenging the president.  Every day another one rebukes the president.  That is an incredibly dangerous thing to do politically – it can destroy a career.  Ask yourself why they would be so willing to do that.  Are they just stupid, too bold – or is it something else?

I don’t know… (shakes head) The word is out there – President Obama is in real trouble.  They may not have the specifics, but the story of a big scandal coming is circulating now within the party – both parties.  So why put your own political career on the line supporting a president who is facing such a fiasco?  Simple – they won’t.  And so you are seeing the separation happening.  The party itself is starting to separate itself from the president.  You ever watch those nature programs where the herd doesn’t hang out with the sick one?  You got that poor sick antelope or whatever standing all by itself and when it tries to join back with the herd they run away from it?  They’ll even attack it themselves if they have to.  That’s what happens in politics.  If you are in real trouble, the others separate from you.  That is what is happening to the president right now.

    (Long pause)

And the lions are starting to gather…

  • What is it with Liberal Women?

And why do they hate conservative women with a visceral passion that is truly frightening?

I keep asking that question of MSM, urging them to write about it. The last reporter I nudged was the London Times, and she (hmmm....) just ignored me. I wonder why?

Michelle Malkin has more on The View's unfunny comedienne Joy Behar calling Nevada GOP candidate a "bitch." But from the looks of it, you can call Mrs. Angle "Senator" very shortly.

I’m already a member of the club.

    So is Sarah Palin.

    And so is Michele Bachmann.

Now, Joy “If you disagree with me, you’re a BITCH!” Behar is trashing GOP Nevada senate candidate Sharron Angle as a “bitch” who is “going to hell” because of her staunch opposition to illegal immigration and the cult of multiculturalism. You will get a headache after watching this, but it’s worth watching — not just for Behar’s antics, but for the polite tittering and showbiz-as-usual camaraderie of Behar’s spew mates as they watch their foul-mouthed friend go off:

So much for civility and tolerance and Emmy Award-winning intelligent debate, eh?

    Stay classy, er, ladies harridans.

  • WMD in Iraq, Claims Vindicated

Julian Assange is a revolting man.

He will roast in the hottest corner of hell for the military documents that he has made public on the Internet, causing tremendous jeopardy for American soldiers still in the field.

But the founder of WikiLeaks has accomplished one good thing, and that is dispelling the lies around the American Left's anti-war agenda from the hot summers and cold winters leading up to the war in Iraq.

I delight in the unintended consequence Assange's revelations has produced - vindication for my original reporting from Iraq in 2005-  that Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) indeed existed, discovered by American troops, in the thousands of pages of documents now public.

I withstood blistering attacks from the George Soros funded organization Media Matters, bloggers, and other left-wing media such as NPR  which banned me from it's show The NewsHour because I maintained that the Bush administration correctly identified Hussein possessed WMD and sought to eliminate it (as well proudly supporting military families, our mission in Iraq and denouncing those who tried to undermine it.)

Those salty critiques did nothing to dampen my convinction concerning WMD, (in fact, we doubled down on getting the word out) but my utter contempt for the Bush administration that refused to support it's own case continues to this day.

I will be waiting for the apology and correction that I just know is on the tip of David Brock's tongue. I know that NPR wants to make things right with me, and invite me back on the air to hear my point of view as a news analyst. And I can just feel the remorse from Jodi Evans, Medea Benjamin and Cindy Sheehan.

    I'm waiting.

    Still waiting.

    Credit Wired Magazine

By late 2003, even the Bush White House’s staunchest defenders were starting to give up on the idea that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

But for years afterward, WikiLeaks’ newly-released Iraq war documents reveal, U.S. troops continued to find chemical weapons labs, encounter insurgent specialists in toxins, and uncover weapons of mass destruction.

An initial glance at the WikiLeaks war logs doesn’t reveal evidence of some massive WMD program by the Saddam Hussein regime — the Bush administration’s most (in)famous rationale for invading Iraq. But chemical weapons, especially, did not vanish from the Iraqi battlefield. Remnants of Saddam’s toxic arsenal, largely destroyed after the Gulf War, remained. Jihadists, insurgents and foreign (possibly Iranian) agitators turned to these stockpiles during the Iraq conflict — and may have brewed up their own deadly agents.

In August 2004, for instance, American forces surreptitiously purchased what they believed to be containers of liquid sulfur mustard, a toxic “blister agent” used as a chemical weapon since World War I. The troops tested the liquid, and “reported two positive results for blister.” The chemical was then “triple-sealed and transported to a secure site” outside their base.

Three months later, in northern Iraq, U.S. scouts went to look in on a “chemical weapons” complex. “One of the bunkers has been tampered with,” they write. “The integrity of the seal [around the complex] appears intact, but it seems someone is interesting in trying to get into the bunkers.”

Meanwhile, the second battle of Fallujah was raging in Anbar province. In the southeastern corner of the city, American forces came across a “house with a chemical lab … substances found are similar to ones (in lesser quantities located a previous chemical lab.” The following day, there’s a call in another part of the city for explosive experts to dispose of a “chemical cache.”

Nearly three years later, American troops were still finding WMD in the region. An armored Buffalo vehicle unearthed a cache of artillery shells “that was covered by sacks and leaves under an Iraqi Community Watch checkpoint. “The 155mm rounds are filled with an unknown liquid, and several of which are leaking a black tar-like substance.” Initial tests were inconclusive. But later, “the rounds tested positive for mustard.”

In WikiLeaks’ massive trove of nearly 392,000 Iraq war logs, there are hundreds of references to chemical and biological weapons. Most of those are intelligence reports or initial suspicions of WMD that don’t pan out. In July 2004, for example, U.S. forces come across a Baghdad building with gas masks, gas filters, and containers with “unknown contents” inside. Later investigation revealed those contents to be vitamins.

But even late in the war, WMDs were still being unearthed. In the summer of 2008, according to one WikiLeaked report, American troops found at least 10 rounds that tested positive for chemical agents. “These rounds were most likely left over from the [Saddam]-era regime. Based on location, these rounds may be an AQI [Al Qaeda in Iraq] cache. However, the rounds were all total disrepair and did not appear to have been moved for a long time.”

A small group — mostly of the political right — has long maintained that there was more evidence of a major and modern WMD program than the American people were lead to believe. A few Congressmen and Senators gravitated to the idea, but it was largely dismissed as conspiratorial hooey.

The WMD diehards will likely find some comfort in these newly-WikiLeaked documents. Skeptics will note that these relatively small WMD stockpiles were hardly the kind of grave danger that the Bush administration presented in the run-up to the war.

But the more salient issue may be how insurgents and Islamic extremists (possibly with the help of Iran) attempted to use these lethal and exotic arms. As Spencer noted earlier, a January 2006 war log claims that “neuroparalytic” chemical weapons were smuggled in from Iran.

That same month, then “chemical weapons specialists” were apprehended in Balad. These “foreigners” were there specifically “to support the chemical weapons operations.” The following month, an intelligence report refers to a “chemical weapons expert” that “provided assistance with the gas weapons.” What happened to that specialist, the WikiLeaked document doesn’t say.

DAY FIVE of the TPX IV tour ended on a high note with an exceptional rally in Phoenix, AZ. where Sarah Palin was a surprise speaker. Palin dropped by to say a few words to the gathered patriots, and afterwards she worked the rope line like few others can do. She's the genuine article, I think. The crowds think so as well. Tour embed Andrea Shea King has coverage, including a slide show of the tour event.

DAY SIX brings the tour to Las Cruces, NM--12 noon; and then on to El Paso, TX--4:30 PM. If you're not in the area, you can attend via Liberty.com's "live" streaming on your computer. I attended Day Five's rally with Liberty.com and it's the next best thing to being there.

Below you'll see a video tribute to Navy Seal Marc Alan Lee. Marc was the first Navy Seal to be killed in Iraq, and his Gold Star mom Debbie Lee pays tribute to him at each of the rally stops. It's a heart-wrenching story of how her son found himself in a fire fight with the enemy, and with one of his team members down and seriously wounded, Marc did what Seals are trained to do: put themselves in harm's way to get help to their downed team member... at all costs.

On that day, the cost was as high as it gets. Marc stood in the line of fire--not once, but twice--so his team members could get to the wounded Seal. During this operation, Marc was mortally wounded. Although Marc Alan Lee is gone from this life, Debbie Lee keeps his memory alive so everyone can understand what these brave, skilled, and unrelenting warriors are willing to do so that we can enjoy our freedoms back at home. His story is compelling, only to be topped by his final letter home. One day I hope Gold Star Mom Debbie Lee will find time to put this story into book form, and then possibly a talented script writer will bring it to the silver screen. One day.

Read about Marc Alan Lee--then tearfully wander through his final letter home. Marc Alan Lee sits comfortably at the Lord's table--he's in very good hands. And remember this: Terrorists DID NOT take Marc's life; he gave it willingly... for us and his Seal team members. Rest peacefully, our hero.

DAY FIVE has TPX IV arriving in
Phoenix, AZ. for a 12 noon rally at the capitol. Sheriff Joe will be the featured speaker but, according to tour officials, he will be joined by a very special guest. I suggest you gather up the kids, friends and neighbors and head on over to the rally.

    Pictured below:
Lloyd Marcus--American!--being interviewed at one of the tour stops. Marcus is always in high demand for interviews during these tours and he accommodates as many as he can.

LIVE STREAMING of tour rallies can be seen at Liberty.com--with a special guest joining Sheriff Joe in Phoenix, today is one of those days you'll want to be tuned in. That is, if you can't attend in person. TPX IV is eastbound, so check the tour schedule for upcoming rallies.

Be sure to visit some of the bloggers who are helping spread the word about TPX IV--Terresa Monroe-Hamilton at

Day Three of the TPX IV tour had the crew attending rallies in Barstow and the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Ca. Tour Embed Andrea Shea King has a slide show posted of the Barstow rally--later today she'll have pics from the Rose Bowl as well. Check back. **Rose Bowl slide show here.

Last night, The Andrea Shea King Show interviewed Anchorage radio talk show host Eddie Burke. Burke is a close family friend of the Palins and was able to tell our audience about his long experience as a Palin family friend--many things you don't often hear in the media. It was a great interview. Andrea did the interview from just outside the Rose Bowl in the Entertainers' Bus, and since Pat Boone was a guest speaker at the rally, we were hoping to get a short interview with him too. But the timing wasn't right. However, as Andrea was wrapping up the Burke interview, Andrew Breitbart stepped onboard the bus, sat down and did a quick, unscheduled interview to end the show. Breitbart focused on the theme from his now famous "Harry Pelosi" speech--again, GREAT interview. Then Breitbart exited the bus, went on stage and wowed the crowd with the full version of that speech. He brought the house down. Listen to the interview in Andrea's archives here.

Below, Andrea is pictured with Pat Boone, one of the featured speakers at the Rose Bowl rally. Hey, Melanie Morgan was a featured speaker as well. Melanie just seems to be everywhere! What a patriot we have in Melanie.

Day Four has the TPX caravan stopping in San Diego--12 noon, and then it's on to Yuma, Az--6 PM. Featured speakers are Melanie Morgan, Newt Gingrich, Mike Gallagher, Kevin Jackson, Sheriff Joe and many more. Tour schedule is here.

We can use all the help we can get in getting the word out to support the TPX IV. Please take a moment to link us, post about us, tell a friend--whatever you can do will be appreciated. It's our nation that's at stake here.

Again, I'd like to mention those bloggers who are there for us each day, spreading the word at their sites: Terresa Monroe-Hamilton of NoisyRoom, John Ruberry of Marathon Pundit, Mel Morgan. Patriots, one and all!

Remember, TPX rallies can be viewed "live" via your computer at Liberty.com.

Debbie Lee, center and Melanie Morgan sing the National Anthem during a Tea Party Express rally at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010.

  • Running Scared

Democrats can read polls, too and the news isn't great.

    WSJ has the numbers here.

The smell of fear is wafting over Demcrat strongholds across the country.

"It's hard to say Democrats are facing anything less than a category four hurricane," said Peter Hart, the Democratic pollster who conducts the Journal poll with Republican pollster Bill McInturff. "And it's unlikely the Democratic House will be left standing."

Mr. McInturff said the Republican lead among likely voters, if it stood, probably would yield a pickup of 52 or 53 House seats, surpassing the net gain of 39 seats the GOP needs to claim control of the chamber.

The heightened energy among Republican-leaning voters has been a feature of public opinion for months, with many voters anxious about the economy and unhappy with the Democratic-led Congress.

  • Super Rally in Pasadena!

And I will be there to speak the great crowd coming out to support the Tea Party Express. That's right, me, Melanie Morgan, will be onboard the Tea Party Express bus that is rolling into Los Angeles today, and I'll be speaking in San Diego tomorrow. Newt Gingrich is coming to the San Diego event, while Pat Boone is speaking tonight in LA.

It's at the Rose Bowl at 6:30 p.m. in Pasadena!

It's a GREAT guest line-up. Andrea Shea King writes about the event from the Tea Party Express bus.....

"Come see the slide show!  We spent yesterday morning in Ely, NV and met some of the nicest folks you'll ever find.  They detest Harry Reid!  Signs on buildings read:  "Anyone but Harry"!

Last night we kicked it up at Stoney's Rockin' Country in Las Vegas with Sheriff Joe Arpaio and Wayne Allyn Root. Today we'll be in Barstow CA, and tonight --- a SUPER Rally at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.  Whooop-de-do!  Patriots on the Left Coast will be doing it up RIGHT.

For updates throughout the day, check with Thirdwavedave who will be posting my reports as I call them in.

  • Tea Party XPress, "Harry Pelosi" Edition

Day one of the TPX IV tour was a huge success with rallies in Reno and Elko, Nevada. Palin's message to the attendees in Reno was clearly heard in Las Vegas--see the Las Vegas Sun's morning headline below. A major hit piece on Angle.

    Here's what the
Sun has to say about Palin and the TPX, and the Las Vegas Review-Journal is carrying this story as well. "HARRY PELOSI"--thank you Andrew Breitbart--can smell the deisel fumes of the TPX IV's caravan of buses headed their way today. Fear is in the air and they're pulling out all the stops.

TPX IV embed, Andrea Shea King, will be filing reports with me as the day's events unfold. I will be updating here on this post, so check back throughout the day. King has put together a great slide show from yesterday's rally in Reno, and as I reported yesterday, she was able to get a pic with Palin. Check it out at The Radio Patriot.

Today's TPX IV events begin with a Rally in Ely, NV at Noon, and then on to Las Vegas at 6 PM. For future TPX rallies, check the entire tour schedule here. Tell your friends and family, attend if you can. If you can't attend a rally in your town, you can watch it live via Liberty.com's site. I used Liberty's site yesterday to watch the Reno rally and it worked perfectly. No sign up, just click the link.

Greatly assisting in the effort to spread the word is Terresa Monroe-Hamilton at NoisyRoom--lots of posts; Melanie Morgan, and John Ruberry out of Chicago at Marathon Pundit. The crew at TPX can't thank these patriots enough for their time and effort. Old guard media dislike their efforts; we love 'em for it, and with their continued efforts we'll bring this progressive era to a grinding halt--we're all part of the history that's being written today. Know this to be true. And also know that they're running scared, not knowing what to make of you poor, misguided American patriots, bent on taking back America.

The ANDREA SHEA KING SHOW will be broadcasting live each night at 9 PM ET from the TPX IV. Don't miss it!

Some quick photos of today’s Tea Party Express IV rally in Reno with Sarah Palin, who spoke for about 30 minutes onstage before spending another hour meeting and greeting the crowd to shake her hand. As Sal Russo commented, “Palin loves to work the rope line as much as Reagan did.”  She just loves people.  And by the photos you’ll see it is evident they love her too. After viewing the fotos, head to Dave’s blog for updates — Dave’s been keeping us posted as I call in with reports.  Also, check my Twitter for as-it-happens tweets. • Cross Country Tea Party Bus Leaves Today

The entire crew of Tea Party Express IV is enroute to Reno, Nevada, for the kick-off of "Liberty at the Ballot Box" tour. It begins tomorrow in Reno and ends November 1st on the east coast. Headlining tomorrow's rally--former Alaska Gov Sarah Palin. There will be many speakers, some candidates and lots of entertainment. More details will be forthcoming on Monday.

Radio show host, columnist, blogger, future author and TPXIV speaker, Andrea Shea King, just left Orlando International for a connecting flight up north. Then she wings her way to Arizona, finally touching down in Reno later today. How late she'll be arriving is still in question, because her first flight in Orlando was cancelled; then the replacement flight had a bird strike and needed further inspections. Since my phone hasn't been ringing, I'm quite confident she's well on her way to altitude by now.

We're "all in" on this final tour before the mid-term election, and none of the progress--or this tour for that matter--would ever be possible without everyone's support. Now is not the time to let up, either. Please pass my updates on to your friends, family--strangers on the street--encourage them to throw a few sawbucks in the kitty. Taking back America isn't cheap. Thanks, and good luck to us all.

  • Pelosi Treats Family to 85 Taxpayer Funded Trips

It's good to be Queen Nancy ...or related to the Royal Family.

Especially if you love to travel

Or love to drink. A lot.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and members of her family and staff took 85 tax-paid trips on military aircraft between March 2, 2009, and June 7, 2010, according to new documents uncovered by Judicial Watch.

Pelosi's daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons were on the June 20, 2009, flight from Andrews AFB to San Francisco where Pelosi resides, according to the documents. On July 2, 2010, Pelosi took a grandson on a flight from Andrews to Travis AFB, north of San Francisco.

Judicial Watch obtained the documents as a result of a January 25, 2009, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.

Previous documents received by the non-profit watchdog group revealed that Pelosi's travel "cost the United States Air Force $2,100,744.59 over a two-year period — $101,429.14 of which was for in-flight expenses, including food and alcohol," according to Judicial Watch.

"For example, purchases for one Pelosi-led congressional delegation traveling from Washington, DC, through Tel Aviv, Israel to Baghdad, Iraq May 15-20, 2008 included: Johnny Walker Red scotch, Grey Goose vodka, E&J brandy, Bailey’s Irish Crème, Maker’s Mark whiskey, Courvoisier cognac, Bacardi Light rum, Jim Beam whiskey, Beefeater gin, Dewar’s scotch, Bombay Sapphire gin, Jack Daniels whiskey, Corona beer and several bottles of wine."

  • At Last, More Truth

Over the past year, Kristinn Taylor and I have published a series of exposes about CODE PINK and its founders Jodie Evans and Medea Benjamin and their anti-American, anti-military — treasonous — activities done with the assent of Obama and congressional representatives.

Today, Scott Swett has moved the ball a few yards further downfield with his October 12th piece at the American Thinker, reporting thatSenator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) along with Representatives Raul Grijalva (D-AZ), Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) and Henry Waxman (D-CA) secured diplomatic courtesy letters that allowed anti-American Code Pink activists to travel to Fallujah, Iraq.

The radicals traveled to Fallujah in late 2004 to donate $600,000 worth of humanitarian aid to the people who had just killed 51 Americans and wounded 560 moreearlier that month. Operation Phantom Fury in Fallujah was the heaviest US urban combat since the Vietnam War.

Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit posted about it this morning, as has Kristinn at Free Republic who wrote:

The controversy over Boxer aiding terrorists killing American soldiers in Iraq is kicking up right before Barack Obama is scheduled to campaign with Boxer in California next week to help in her reelection bid against Republican Carly Fiorina. Jerry Brown will join them in a joint appearance in Los Angeles on October 22nd to also boost his gubernatorial campaign.

Obama, Boxer and Brown have each taken thousands of dollars in campaign contributions in recent years from Code Pink co-founder Jodie Evans. Evans has served as a campaign manager for Brown and as a fundraising bundler for Obama in their respective presidential campaigns. Neither of them has seen fit to distance themselves from Evans and Code Pink despite their well-publicized efforts on behalf of America’s terrorist enemies.

Rush Limbaugh spent the better part of the first hour of his show today outlining foreign contributions coming into Obama’s presidential campaign.

“Where is his foreign money coming from? Chicoms? Saudis? Who is paying his presidential salary?” Rush asks and alleges that Obama’s salary and that of his Czars, select members of the Congress and Cabinet are being paid for from funds provided by the Chinese.

“Now it is up to Obama to prove that Chinese commie money is not influencing policy decisions made at the highest levels. Why do you think he bowed to the president and premier of Red China? He is in debt to them. How much money is the royal family of Saudi Arabia contributing top Obama’s government? He bowed to them too.”

That Obama has recently accused the US Chamber of Commerce of accepting foreign donations is about to blow back on him in force. It’s a can of worms he’s about to end up eating.

The game is in the final quarter. And the American people are going to win. Bet on it.

  • Ballot Measures

I know this is a national blog, but for all the folks in the San Francisco Bay Area and California, I wanted to pass along my ballot recommendations (absentee ballots have been out for a week or so).

Actually, my friend Tom Del Beccro, publisher of California Vanguard, has done the heavy lifting and I'm passing on his hard work (Tom is running for California Republican Party Chairman next year.)

California has a lucrative business known as Propositions. It is one of the few growth industries in the State due to the onerous tax, regulation and spending gridlock known as Sacramento. This year, California voters face 9 statewide propositions. Here are my recommendations:

    Prop 19: VOTE NO

Would legalize pot in California – seek to tax and regulate it. Beyond the obvious reasons not to encourage drug use, including this gateway drug associated with poor parenting, Prop 19 should be turned down by the voters because it is NOT a way to collect taxes. Proponents make the argument that Prop 19 will raise tax revenue. I am simply not interested in figuring out new ways for government to take people’s money. Sooner or later, we have to realize that government is taking too much already – regardless of the course. VOTE NO.

    Prop 20: VOTE YES

Redistricting for the CA Congressional seats. This is an unquestionable yes vote. This is the companion proposition to Prop 11 which will result in a fairer redistricting of the California state legislative seats. Prop 20 will lead to the same result for the Congressional seats. Vote Yes.

    Prop 21: VOTE NO

Would raise car license taxes. Are you Taxed Enough Already? This deceptively written Proposition attempts to raise car tax fees purportedly to fund our park system but any extra tax revenues go into the general fund. In other words – IT’S A TAX INCREASE PLAIN AND SIMPLE. Vote No.

    Prop 22: VOTE NO

Would restrict state raiding of local budgets. This is a tough call. The state must stop raiding the fund it collects which belongs to local municipalities. Sadly, the manner in which Prop 22 is written hurts smaller municipalities in the process. I have good conservative friends on both sides of this issue. That tells me we can do better. Vote No.

    Prop 23: VOTE YES

Suspends AB32 – our global warming law. Prop 23 would suspend our global warming law until we bring unemployment down in this state. AB32 is a pure and simple job killer. The Governor of Texas believes AB32 is the best thing ever to happen to his state. AB32 never should have been passed – it is regulation that simply goes too far. Yes we should care for the environment but not by running business out of our state. VOTE YES.

    Prop 24: VOTE NO

Raises taxes on CA businesses. This is a tax increase on California businesses pure and simple. Thousands of businesses have already left the state because the cost of doing business in this state is too high compared to our neighbors. Prop 24 raises the costs even higher by eliminating tax breaks -any way you look at, that makes it more costly to do business in this state. While I prefer a flat tax and reduced loopholes, raising taxes with Prop 24 is definitely not the way to go. VOTE NO.

    Prop 25: VOTE NO.

Would lower the threshold to pass a budget to a simple majority vote. Prop 25 is a Trojan Horse for higher spending and taxes. By reducing budget passage to a majority vote, it promotes one-party Democrat rule in this state. It also may result in majority vote tax increases. For more read my article:

Vote No on the Trojan Horse – Prop 25

    Prop 26: VOTE YES.

Requires 2/3rds vote to raise “fees”. In California, we play this game. Taxes are taxes but fees are not taxes. Taxes require a 2/3rds vote to increase (unless Prop 25 passes) but fees only take a majority vote. Fees are a tax on users of a particular state service. Taxes tend to apply to everyone like an income tax. Confusing? Look – at the end of the day its government taking people’s money. Prop 26 makes it harder for government to do that. VOTE YES.

    Prop 27: VOTE NO.

Allows State legislators to draw their own districts. This is a cynical proposition meant to reverse the Prop 11 gain and would go back to the old way of allowing the majority Democrats to decide the legislative districts. VOTE NO.

  • November Rollin' Around

The political chaos for Democrats is just over two weeks away and I can't wait. Newest polling shows that a seat in the San Francisco Bay Area that leaned Democrat is now leaning GOP, thanks to the hard work of the David Harmer campaign.

I recieved an email update late last night.

    "...Harmer 48%, McNerney 42%!

That’s according to SurveyUSA, in an exclusive district-wide poll commissioned by CBS Television affiliate KPIX Channel 5 and released just last night. (Survey dates Oct. 8-11; 624 likely or actual voters; margin of error 4%.)

CBS 5’s survey confirms the trend we’ve seen in our own polling: thanks to your generous contributions and very hard work, we’ve moved this district from “Likely Democratic” … to “Leans Democratic” … to “Toss Up” … to a slight Republican lead … and now to a growing Republican lead.

Obviously this is great news. But it’s far too soon to take a victory lap. We still have three brutal weeks ahead. I need your help to sustain our momentum."

Take a minute and donate. Your country will thank you.

  • OUTRAGE!

Every American, regardless of political affiliation, should be outraged over the NYC election board gaffe (or conspiracy?) to deprive US military men and women of the vote they are dying to protect.

    Unbelievable.

Sen. Charles Schumer blasted Board of Elections officials Monday for blowing a deadline for sending ballots to troops overseas - putting their chance to vote at risk.

"Our troops sacrifice their lives to protect our freedoms. They should never, ever be denied the right to vote," Schumer said.

There are approximately 50,000 New York City residents serving overseas - and 320,000 statewide.

Elections officials were originally supposed to ship the ballots to troops by Sept. 17. Because New York primaries were held Sept. 14, the federal government granted local officials an extension until Oct. 1.

But the state Board of Elections last week informed the Department of Defense that officials in New York City, Westchester, Putnam, Erie and Niagara Counties had failed to send the ballots by the Oct. 1 deadline.

  • Lies and Damn Lies

The White House lobs out a bunch of lies about its political opponents, and when challenged, asserts that it is the accused who has to prove their innocence.

That is what happened over the weekend when President Obama attacked GOP political operative Karl Rove, Ed Gillespie and the Chamber of Commerce. Fox News has more.

"...Two top Republicans lit into President Obama and the Democratic Party Sunday over accusations that the GOP strategists and the Chamber of Commerce were using foreign contributions to influence the election, calling the claim a "baseless lie" and accusing the president of "abuse of power."

Karl Rove, a Fox News contributor, said on "Fox News Sunday" that the president had gone too far.

"Have these people no shame? Does the president of the United States have such little regard for the office that he holds that he goes out there and makes these kind of baseless charges against his political enemies?" Rove said. "This is just beyond the pale. How dare the president do this."

Rove was referring to a series of charges that have been leveled over the past week. Obama first said at a rally in Maryland Thursday that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which he referred to without mentioning by name, was paying for ads against Democrats while taking money from "foreign corporations."

"So groups that receive foreign money are spending huge sums to influence American elections, and they won't tell you where the money for their ads come from," Obama said.

Then Obama twice mentioned Rove by name at an Illinois rally, saying "two groups funded and advised by Karl Rove have outspent the Democratic Party 2 to1 in an attempt to beat" Democratic Senate nominee Alexi Giannoulias.

Then the Democratic National Committee rolled out an ad accusing Rove, former Republican National Committee Chairman Ed Gillespie and the Chamber of Commerce of "stealing our democracy."

The ad accuses them of "spending millions from secret donors to elect Republicans to do their bidding in Congress," adding: "It appears they've even taking secret foreign money to influence our elections."

Rove and Gillespie helped found the political group American Crossroads; Rove also helped found Crossroads GPS.

But Rove said those groups raise money legally, that it's "inaccurate" to say he's personally writing out checks to the groups and that American Crossroads reports its donors. In a heated retort, Rove said Sunday that the DNC ad effectively accused them all of a criminal violation of U.S. law -- only without proof.

"They have not one shred of evidence to back up that baseless lie. This is a desperate and I think disturbing trend by the president of the United States to tar his political adversaries with some kind of, you know, enemies list unrestrained by any facts or evidence whatsoever," Rove said.

The Chamber of Commerce accusation apparently stemmed from a report last week by the Center for American Progress-affiliated Think Progress. The report claimed the Chamber was generating hundreds of thousands of dollars in foreign money every year and questioned whether those funds were going toward its multimillion-dollar political operations.

But the Chamber adamantly denies this, saying foreign money is separated from its U.S. political activity. The Chamber said in a statement Sunday that the DNC ad is "ridiculous and false." Rove also said the White House cannot back up its accusation.

Asked about the charge, White House senior adviser David Axelrod put the onus on groups like the Chamber of Commerce to prove foreign money is not influencing the election.

"No one knows where the money's coming from," he said on CBS' "Face the Nation." "Why not simply disclose where this money is from and then all these questions will be answered?"

But Gillespie said the idea that the White House could lob charges and then leave it up to the accused to refute them is an "unbelievable mentality."

What is behind this shocking attempt by the Obama White House? Powerline analyzes the question and answer.

  • Jerry Brown, Unmasked

    UPDATE:

N.O.W., in another shocking display of hypocrisy, has come out and an endorsement of Jerry Brown. You read it right. The man or his wife (accounts vary) who called Meg Whitman a "whore" is now being endorsement by the leading feminst organization just days after the slur is uttered.

"... You know, it's fashionable in feminist circles to sit around bemoaning the fact that few young women want to identify themselves as feminists. Wanna know why? This kind of hypocrisy is the reason why. It's OK with NOW, supposedly an organization devoted to the equal and respectful treatment of women for Jerry Brown to call his opponent -- an accomplished woman, and more importantly, any woman -- a "whore.""

Voters are now seeing the real Jerry Brown ...the one who calls his Republican female opponent a "whore. "

    Where is NOW?

    Where are all the feminists?

    Step forward now, please.

  • Who You Calling Extreme?

In politics, there is an old adage that if they are not shooting at you, you are irrelevant. If so, you may well be able to judge the relevancy of someone by the amount of fire they are drawing. A year ago, the “Tea Party” was merely “astro-turf” in the eyes of those on the Left. Today, they are more than extreme in the eyes of the Main Stream Media, the Democrats leadership and Left in general. But is that really the case?

Before we answer the question, keep in the mind the intensity of the attacks facing the Tea Party participants today. They are referred to as “earth-shatteringly stupid,”(Rolling Stone Oct. 14 edition) “racist,” “hard-right,” and, of course, “extreme” – the latter of which will produce over 2.7 million Google hits. It also was the recent subject of Obama’s characterization of “the Republican Party as all but taken over by Tea Party extremists.”

So how extreme are the Tea Party participants. Let’s take a look.

Among the Tea Party Groups, one of the most prominent is the Tea Party Express. I have attended a few of their rallies and found that they have championed the following slogans at one time or another on the side of their tour bus:

    • Stop Out of Control Spending!
    • No Government Run Healthcare!
    • Reduce the Size & Intrusiveness of Government!
    • End the Bailouts!
    • Stop Raising our Taxes!

Do those slogans represent extreme views? Let’s see what a few people have to say about them.

On Out of Control Spending: “Ongoing deficits may severely and adversely affect expectations and confidence, which in turn can generate a self-reinforcing cycle among the underlying fiscal deficit, financial markets, and the real economy.”

On Government Run Healthcare: “What can we do about this? Well, you and I can do a great deal. We can write to our congressmen and our senators. We can say right now that we want no further encroachment on these individual liberties and freedoms. And at the moment, the key issue is, we do not want socialized medicine.”

On Reducing the Size and Intrusiveness of Government: In 2004, we had a Presidential candidate call the Patriot Act “an assault on our basic rights.”

On the Bail Out Bills: In 2008, one Senate candidate called the 2008 financial bailout bill a “sacrifice at the altar of financial mismanagement.”

On Stop Raising our Taxes: “Nor should the argument seem strange that taxation may be so high as to defeat its object, and that, given sufficient time to gather the fruits, a reduction of taxation will run a better chance, than an increase, of balancing the budget.”

I suspect most Tea Partiers agree with some or all of those comments. The authors of those comments, however, in order: Democrat Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin on spending, Ronald Reagan on Healthcare, Presidential Candidate John Kerry on the Patriot Act, then Senate candidate now Senator Al Franken on the bailout and liberal lion economist John Maynard Keynes on taxes being too high.

It is always worthy, in any discussion – especially political – to put things in context. The fact that all of those quotes came from either current or former Democrats – some rather liberal Democrats – should give you that context.

Today, an enormous number of voters, exceeding 30% by some counts, support the Tea Party Movement. A majority of American voters want to repeal healthcare and cut taxes. Almost by definition therefore, the foregoing proves that the mantra’s of the Tea Party movement, which have also included requests to respect the Constitution and having legislators read the bills on which they vote, cannot be considered extreme.

All of which leaves one conclusion, the demonization of the Tea Party is all that is left for a Democrat Party whose policies have failed and are out of touch with the American electorate. Of course, on that point, John Kerry asserted recently that it is “out-of-touch” voters that are to blame for the Democrats woes. It is just that type of extreme arrogance that the Founders were against and, when coupled with bad policies, will result in a changing of the guard this Fall.

  • Strangle All The Republicans!

Left-wingnuts are always lecturing me about my language, and even launched a boycott against my former radio station for answering a question - what should happen to NYT editor Bill Keller for revealing military secrets during a time of war (short answer: if he were tried and convicted of teason, he should face the death penalty.)

Now we have the Vice-President of the United States who suggested that Republicans should be strangled for obstructing Obama political policies.

    Sheesh.

Will Media Matters demand that Joe Biden be fired from the ticket? Face any consequence for his shocking statement? Hmm? Just wondering, Mike Stark. Spocko. Eric Boelert. Anybody?

DAYTON, Minn. -- Vice President Joe Biden has told Democrats at a Minnesota fundraiser that he'll "strangle" members of the GOP who complain about the federal budget.

According to a pool report from Tuesday's event in Dayton, Biden was telling the crowd that Democrats know how to balance the budget. He said, "If I hear one more Republican tell me about balancing the budget, I am going to strangle them."

  • Do You Love Mysteries the Way I Love Mysteries?

Then you'll love this book written by my neighbor Sheldon Siegel. He's a crackjack thriller guy.

I'm not sure, but I think they are making a movie out of the series.

...Mike Daley and Rosie Fernandez return with a compelling new case in Sheldon Siegel's PERFECT ALIBI.

For Mike Daley and Rosie Fernandez--former spouses and current law partners--the stakes have never been higher. In the seventh installment of Sheldon Siegel's best-selling, critically-acclaimed series, the duo learn that their sixteen year-old daughter's boyfriend has been arrested on suspicion of murdering his father, a prominent judge. Bobby Fairchild, however, claims to have found his father's body upon returning home from a date with Grace. The police, who found Bobby at the scene of the crime holding the murder weapon, contend that his parents' acrimonious divorce sent the boy over the edge.

With their daughter as Bobby's only alibi, Mike and Rosie dig deeper and discover that Judge Fairchild's life was filled with secrets. As the evidence against Bobby mounts, they also begin to question Bobby's story and their daughter's credibility. PERFECT ALIBI is Sheldon Siegel's most personal story yet. From the Victorians of Cole Valley and the colorful streets of the Haight to the squalid corners of the Bayview and the teeming sex parlors of the Tenderloin, Mike and Rosie must deal with issues involving parental trust and loyalty as they embark on a desperate search for evidence that will exonerate their client--and their daughter.

"Sheldon Siegel is a practicing attorney and the married father of twin sons. He knows the law and he knows the innerworkings of a family. This knowledge has given him great insight in the writing of Perfect Alibi, which for Siegel fans is his almost perfect book. This is Siegel's most emotional story yet. All of his books challenge the readers' brains, but this story also challenges their hearts. Humanizing the hero is a good move on Siegel's part and in this book he does it through and through." Jackie K. Cooper. Huffington Post.

"I've read all six of what I call the Mike and Rosie books, but this one is the best. . . Perfect Alibi exceeds [Siegel's] high standards for characterization and page-turning prowess, and has more surprises than any half-dozen mysteries you'll read this year. Siegel weaves a family story that reveals more about love and marriage, love and children, and love and justice than you'll find in a whole shelf of mysteries." Jim Schock. San Francisco Commuter Times.

"Sheldon Siegel writes smart, well-plotted, winning legal fiction. His books and characters are brimming with authority, leavened with compassion and humor, and written with great style. I very much enjoy reading him, and suggest that you will, too." John Lescroart, New York Times Best Selling Author of Treasure Hunt and A Plague of Secrets.

Obama’s Palace Guards: Colbert & Stewart Exit the Clown Car to Shill For Dems

William Kelly: Shilling for Democrat candidates and left-wing causes is standard operating procedure in Hollywood. With his testimony - strike that - performance at the House judiciary subcommittee on Friday, Stephen Colbert, host of Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report,” raised shilling to an artform. But, look out, there's more where that came from with Colbert and Stewart's dueling rallies at the Washington Monument on October 30.
