Everyday someone is volunteering in communities across the country. Someone is making a difference. But not everyone is acknowledged for his or her work. I am proud to feature my own Mother (she’s the beauty on the Left, where she is always most comfortable!)

At the Episcopal Diocesan Convention last week in the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri Romain Morgan and Bob Wagnon were jointly honored and presented the Bishop's Shield for their work with the gardens, the canning project, the food pantry and the pie making to continue to raise funds for ministries in the world, not just within her own congregation.

Way to go, Mom!
