So many flu bugs, and so little time. According to the CDC or Centers for Disease Control, the Swine flu vaccine is perfectly safe and we should be sticking a nasal spray up our nose or a needle into our arm - ASAP. As ABC's boss Doc Nancy Synderman says "just got the damn vaccine" (never mind that Dr. Synderman hasn't revealed her financial connections to Big Pharma.) Well, not so fast. I'm not getting the shot, nor will I advocate for anyone else to do it. I avoid the flu shot (Swine or otherwise) because I seem to always get the flu after the shot...and I'm not the only one! The government's own research suggests that you can get the flue from the flu shot. http://content.nejm.org/cgi/reprint/NEJMoa0907413.pdf?resourcetype=HWCIT
Of 240 persons in the study, "Solicited systemic adverse events were reported by 45.0% . The most commonly reported events were headache, malaise, and myalgia. Solicited systemic adverse events that were considered to be related to the H1N1 vaccine (ie the FLU).......Three subjects had an influenza-like illness, one of whom tested positive for 2009 H1N1 on day 8 after vaccination."
So, either you CAN get H1N1 from the vaccine, OR you have been vaccinated and can still get the disease.
Coincidence, no doubt.
