Confederate Yankee blogger Bob Owens just sent me this stunning piece of news.

Anonymous investigators of the Virginia Tech shooting provided false information to journalists for both the Associated Press and the New York Times, and both news organizations ran stories containing those false claims without any attempt at fact-checking. http://confederateyankee.mu.nu/archives/224154.php The anonymous officials are cited in articles from both news organizations as saying that Cho bought extra magazines for his pistols at Dick's Sporting Goods and Walmart in Christiansburg, VA. Neither the sporting goods chain nor the retail giant have EVER carried handguns or handgun magazines, something I already knew as a customer of both chains, and a fact that was easy to verify with both stores in simple phone calls in a matter of five minutes, total. If the professional media is too lazy to do basic fact-checking on major stories, how much attention do you figure they pay to minor stories?

The Liberal attack on KSFO Radio talk show hosts, including myself, continues across the blogosphere.

My philosophy is that if your ideological enemies hit you, hit back twice as hard.

On Friday, January 12th, at 12:00 PST, KSFO broke format by cancelling Dr. Laura and went live with Lee Rodgers, Officer Vic, Brian Sussman and myself to tell the TRUTH about the campaign by liberal bloggers to attack conversative talk radio hosts who proudly support the effort of the Global War on Terror against Islamic fundamentalists.

A coward who won't even publicly identify himself is trying to destroy my reputation, and has threatened the security of myself and my family, as well as my friends and colleagues at KSFO Radio.

I will not sit by while an anonymous blogger tries to silence the free speech rights of energetically pro-American, pro-troop supporters like myself.

Earlier this week, KSFO talk show host Brian Sussman, who was filling in for the vacationing Lee Rodgers, made a statement that Senator Barack Obama (D) Illinois was a "Halfrican." Sussman was discussing the fact that Obama is playing to a African-American audience of people who have suffered generations of discrimination, despite the fact that Senator Obama was raised by his white grandparents in Hawaii in relative affluence.

During an on-air discussion, I made reference to his using this term, and thereafter I let Mr. Sussman know that I did not approve of it. Terms that needlessly make reference to race or ethnic makeup are in poor taste. Since making his original comments on the air, Mr. Sussman has since made an apology for the characterization, which I believe was the correct course of action.

I disagree with Senator Obama on a wide array of issues, almost every issue. His political beliefs are consistently liberal, even though there is an effort by the media to portray him as a moderate.

I will challenge him on his beliefs through the use of intellectual debate and the battle of ideas, and I will respect him as a human being and an individual who is proud of his background and upbringing.
