The single most ridiculous broadcast from KO may have been aired last night ...David Bellavia, a genuine Iraq war hero, praised Senator John McCain during a news conference for Vets For Freedom, which criss-crossed the country telling the stories of heroism and success in Iraq during the Congressional Report by General David Petraeus.

Bellavia made a comparison to pop culture in which he said (paraphrasing) that you can have the Tiger Woods of the world, but I'll take Senator McCain (for standing strong against terrorism.)

The Uber-Olbermann did not like that.

Olbermann needs to apologize.

But he won't.

It's all about the ratings.

Here in San Francisco, ground zero for protests, counter-protests, street theater and political guerrilla tactics ...pro-Tibet and pro-Chinese demonstrators got punked today.

San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom (Governor Wannabe) cut short the Olympic Torch run because the streets were filled with furious confrontations by the two sides.

The supporters of Dalai Lama and the pro-Tibet side have a legitimate beef with the government of China.

The Chi-Coms are stomping these people into submission. But many of the protestors marching up and down Market Street and at Justin Herman Plaza are just rabble-rousers who live and breathe anarchy. Some are paid to do so. They don't care about the situation in Tibet anymore than I care about the people who protest global warming.

Here's the question: where were these agitators when the Chinese cracked down on the Tibetans in an especially brutal way during the Clinton administration? Where was Mrs. Clinton? Is this why she threw the lamp at Bill after he sold tech secrets to the Chinese government?

I am debating whether I should call Mrs. Clinton a protest whore.

NOW she's a big-time supporter of Tibet, when it is easy to pander to her left-wing base.

Better not.

She might get mad.

And throw another lamp.

One of my heroes (unknown to me and I don't even have an e-mail address) took his/her camera into my adopted hometown of San Francisco to shoot the appearance of Barry Hussein Obama yesterday for a mega-rich billionaire fund-raiser.

(Barry is for the little people, of course, and his wife Michelle wants to make sure no one makes TOO much money, because we need helpers in society--excluding the millionaire Obamas, of course.) 

I get a huge kick out of this because I brought 5,000 of my closest friends to the Getty Mansion in 1998 (yes, we are talking the oil heir Gordon Getty) to Pacific Heights, my very first activist rally during the impeachment of Hilllary's husband...and Billy-Jeff wasn't happy to see us.

 In fact, he grew red-faced when he saw me in front of the Getty Mansion with my bull-horn, and 15-foot banner supporting all the women Mr. and Mrs. Clinton maligned.

Paula. Juanita. Gennifer. Elizabeth. Kathleen. Well, you get the idea, if you were paying attention in the '90's.

Talk about Deja Vu.

Pacific Heights is the snootiest address in town. The Getty's are some of the wealthiest people in the country.

They are rooting for Obama, in fact, they are Obama obsessed. 

So they brought together all their richy-rich friends to donate.

I FREAKING hate doing taxes. I hate PAYING taxes even more. (Thank goodness that my pal and hard-core CPA Steve Moskowitz here in San Francisco takes the job and makes it spotless for the IRS.)

Somebody, anybody, PLEASE campaign on a flat tax reform.

But I digress.

I was watching Bill O'Reilly's re-broadcast tonight, trying  to catch up on the video from General David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker's appearance before Congress on Capitol Hill.  (Go back and read this link after you finish mine. You'll laugh. I did.)

So I am thinking to myself-- Wow! 

Fox News has made a stunningly brilliant move in hiring Karl Rove as a commentator.

KARL ROVE UNLEASHED.

Why wasn't this Karl Rove (the one I saw with the graphs and goofy erase-a-board) out there for the past 7 and a half years talking to the American public the way I saw him this evening?

This guy can COMMUNICATE. He's witty, smart, personable, and slays the Democrats and their ridiculous arguements on every subject, especially the one nearest and dearest to my heart --The War on Terror.

The Bush Administration could NOT communicate.

The Bush Administration made some stupid, stupid decisions early on that resulted in the Lefty's re-defining why we went into Iraq, why we stay there, and how it will affect generations to come if we prematurely leave the battlefield.

"Evil" Karl Rove, so feared by the Left, stranded conservatives on an island built by the Mainstream Media. The man who wanted to create a Republican majority for decades to come, failed. 

It's legacy building time for President Bush. Rove is out there now, correcting the record in an understandable way.

But Rove (and others) let so many opportunities go by, dissing conservatives who wanted to help them (including me) by stiff-arming us when the going got tough.

To quote my teenager - "Whatever."
