Any member of Congress who supports our troops, their mission and standing firm with President Bush in fighting Islamic terrorists has been threatened with reprisal from MoveOn.org, the leading anti-war group in the country.
Be afraid. Very afraid.
NOT.
MoveOn: Anitwar movement still vital, focused

A day after the Politico outlined details of a tactical retreat by a dispirited antiwar movement, the executive director of MoveOn.org today unveiled what he called “an aggressive new campaign to bring our troops home as soon as possible.”
“More Americans than ever oppose the war,” Eli Pariser wrote in a message on the Huffington Post circulated by MoveOn. “Yet all the major contenders for the Republican nominations support it, and Congress is unable or unwilling (or both) to take President Bush to task.”
Pariser said MoveOn would pursue a three-pronged strategy. First, he said, the organization will campaign against Republican members of Congress who have supported the war.
“They’ve now cast their lot with President Bush, and it's our job to make sure that they get booted by voters next November,” he said. “And we need to make clear that it's bigger than that: their willingness to give the president the votes he needs to continue the war puts their party into a political death spiral that will doom it for a generation. A growing number of congressional Republicans have already gotten the message and have chosen to retire.”

Ha!
I knew I could rely on the whacko crowd to provide the video of my appearance last night on Hannity and Colmes, in order to attack us for denouncing attacks on Senator John McCain.
It's too funny, really.
Thanks NewsHounds, for providing a Friday afternoon chuckle.

Check out what the Freepers are saying about my (official) endorsement today of Senator Fred Thompson --it's causing quite a buzz.
Over one hundred blogs have now covered my endorsement of Fred Thompson ...but my friend Ron Winter has some news the media isn't covering:
The Vets For Fred organization mounted a major, and by all accounts successful, push to put veteran 'boots on the ground' in South Carolina to work for the Thompson campaign. Reporters acknowledge that Thompson's campaign apparatus is the best in South Carolina as he travels across the state to meet and great in person.
Even the media correspondents who are covering the race don't seem to be all that reliant on the polls.
For instance, the RCP average that puts Thompson behind Mitt Romney moved Fox News political correspondent Carl Cameron to note at 10:33 a.m. Friday, "That's probably not the case!" He noted that while Thompson is putting a major effort into the South Carolina primary, Romney has pulled out of that state and isn't campaigning there at all!

I just found a copy of the transcript from my Tuesday night appearance on the Bill O'Reilly show on Fox News Network. Hopefully, I'll grab some video or at least a transcript of my appearance on Hannity and Colmes tonight.
But what's up with Bill? He brought in right and left talk show hosts and tried to pin us down on whether personal attacks in politics are okay.
Bill bloviates that it is not.
I say it depends on which side of the couch you sit on.
You decide.
