That's the most frequently asked question at this website as people discover that I am no longer employed at KSFO in San Francisco, my radio home for 14 years. I had a GREAT time working for the former ABC stations, including my additional eight years as a hot-spot reporter for KGO (covering the bombing of the Marine Barracks in Beirut in 1983, the uprising for Democracy at Tiannamen Square in Beijing, the 1988 Mexico Earthquake and many other international stories) before I became a talk-show host with a conservative point-of-view. 

For those of you who are e-mailing about what happened, all you have to do is google my name and you will discover that Citadel Broadcasting, the radio company that bought the ABC heritage radio station group, is imploding due to the corporate environment, causing hundreds of our employees to receive pink slips.

That includes me.

I was given this news after my show on March 3rd, and did not have a chance to say good-bye to our loyal, inspired and deeply passionate audience. 

Millions of KSFO's listeners were left to their own devices to find out what happened.

Now that you know the straight scoop, I am pleased to inform San Francisco Bay Area listeners that you have a chance to come say hello (I refuse to say Good-Bye) at a big wing-ding on May 10th.

Fantastic Event! - May 10, 2008

In honor of her 14 years as one of the stars of Hot Talk 560 - KSFO, and a national pro-troop leader, supporters of Melanie Morgan will be conducting a "Salute to Melanie Morgan" event that will take place on Saturday, May 10th at the historic Fior d'Italia restaurant in San Francisco. The Fior d'Italia is America's oldest Italian restaurant and they serve up delicious offerings that will bring joy to the palette.

All proceeds from this event will go to Move America Forward - to fund our summer pro-troop push as we fight off the criticism, ridicule and attacks against the missions of our military men and women.
