From MichelleMalkin.com(Stay with me, folks, because I have the inside scoop on SKYY Vodka.) NewsMax.com has picked up the story here. But first, check this out. SKYY Vodka responds to Absolut’s reconquista ad campaign:
The man who founded SKYY Vodka is Maurice Kanbar. He is orginally from New York City, but moved to San Francisco during the 1960's. Maurice wanted to create the 'perfect' martini. Kanbar loves martini's, and believes that one-a-day is great for your health. But the martini hang-over was a problem that Kanbar decided to fix, so he put his big brain behind creating a vodka that would not create the yukky next-day-I-feel-so-sick problem. He engineered a formula that worked. He patented it, and started SKYY Vodka. Later, he sold the company for millions, but still has some influence there. He has donated millions of dollars to charitable organizations and has created a film school in New York, contributed to Philadelphia University, is a successful film producer (Hoodwinked) and a member of Mensa. His newest venture is a cheap scooter to get around our clogged streets in San Francisco without as much aggrevation as a bigger car, which gets taxed, er, ticketed by the local law all the time. I'm having lunch with Maurice on Monday. We lunch together several times a year, and have for almost 10 years. Maurice Kanbar is the biggest conservative you can imagine. Maurice Kanbar has been a quiet supporter of my organization, Move America Forward, and many other causes that further conservative values. Maurice really gets especially riled about illegal immigration. I would marry Maurice if a) I weren't already married and b) he was interested in marrying me. So far, not so much. But, when we lunch, he never lets me pick-up the check. So, hoist a martooni to Maurice! He deserves Michelle Malkin's accolades, and all conservatives everywhere.
