VICE PRESIDENT RICE?
ABC News’ Mary Bruce Reports: Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is actively courting the Vice Presidential nomination, according to Republican Strategist Dan Senor. “Condi Rice has been actively, actually in recent weeks, campaigning for this,” Senor said this morning on “This Week with George Stephanopoulos.”
On paper, a Condi candidacy looks good.
To Liberals.
But to conservatives, initially enamored of Dr. Rice, you can track the mixed signals as the Secretary of State seemed to lose her footing at Foggy Bottom.
Conservatives grumbled and then roared in displeasure as she veered towards 'Palestinian Statehood,' suffered missteps in dealing with Hezbollah, Al-Maliki in Iraq, and frothed over the numerous (institutionalized problems) at State that Condi failed to address. Have I mentioned the fury over Iran?

And of course, the clothing choices Madame Secretary has displayed dismays MSM, generating snarky reviews, which will knock her out of contention for any elective position if the Washington Post has its way.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice arrived at the Wiesbaden Army Airfield on Wednesday dressed all in black. She was wearing a black skirt that hit just above the knee, and it was topped with a black coat that fell to mid-calf. The coat, with its seven gold buttons running down the front and its band collar, called to mind a Marine's dress uniform or the "save humanity" ensemble worn by Keanu Reeves in "The Matrix."
As Rice walked out to greet the troops, the coat blew open in a rather swashbuckling way to reveal the top of a pair of knee-high boots. The boots had a high, slender heel that is not particularly practical.
So, there you have it. McCain would be foolish to nominate Dr. Rice.
She is 'uniformly' disliked by right and left.
But if Senator McCain wants to add an accomplished American to the ticket, how about choosing a man who represents Conservatives?
