Yummy ...the allegations of corruption, chicanery and loose ethics surrounding the Democrats is more delicious than I imagined, especially this early on.

First, Hot Rod Blago crashes the car that was supposed to carry the new Senate nominee to Washington, and now Obama has to give a permanent time-out to Willie Richardson over yet another scandal! Is anybody really surprised that it turns out that the New Mexico Governor is having a bit of a problem? Anybody?

Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.

WASHINGTON (AP) - New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson on Sunday announced that he was withdrawing his nomination to be President-elect Barack Obama's commerce secretary amid a grand jury investigation into how some of his political donors won a lucrative state contract.

Richardson's withdrawal was the first disruption of Obama's Cabinet process and the second "pay-to-play" investigation that has touched Obama's transition to the presidency. The president-elect has remained above the fray in both the case of arrested Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich and the New Mexico case.

A federal grand jury is investigating how a California company that contributed to Richardson's political activities won a New Mexico transportation contract worth more than $1 million. Richardson said in a statement issued by the Obama transition office that the investigation could take weeks or months but expressed confidence it will show he and his administration acted properly.

Rupert Murdoch is celebrating this weekend ...he's got news that is fit to print.

Fox News No. 1 - Seven Years Running

On Oct. 7, Fox News celebrated its 12th anniversary. At the end of the year, it claimed its seven consecutive cable news crown.Aided by the historic presidential election, Fox News had a record year in terms of viewership - as did its rivals CNN and MSNBC. Fox News finished the year with an average of 2.1 million prime-time viewers, up 40% from 2007. CNN was second at 1.3 million and MSNBC third at 920,000.The three networks continue to diverge, politically. Fox News further solidified its standing on the right after the departure of Alan Colmes and the addition of Glenn Beck. MSNBC kept drifting left, adding Rachel Maddow to its lineup. CNN/US President Jon Klein, meanwhile, said his network is going nowhere:Our competition clearly entrenched themselves on the partisan flank, left and right, and that left the vast middle open to us.The explosive growth of cable news should worry the networks, whose news divisions have continued to be money losers with an ever-shrinking audience. The ratings in general weren't good for broadcast networks, but evening news programs continued to tank in the face of the cable onslaught.NBC News remains No. 1, up by 3% over 2007. ABC is second, down 3%; and CBS's Katie Couric, despite a slight uptick in recent weeks, will finish last again, down 5%.

I Can't Stop Talking - About Gitmo PDF E-mail

My latest interview about Gitmo, murderous bastards and the plan to send killers to American shores is at Newsmax.com

Melanie Morgan: ACLU, Liberal Pundits Lying About Gitmo

Radio personality and chairman of Move America Forward, Melanie Morgan, has recently returned from a Christmas visit to the controversial Guantanamo Bay, Cuba -- telling Newsmax that the American people have been lied to about how the terror war detainees being held there are treated.

“I saw that there were a lot of attorneys and big mouths in this country who are trying to describe hideous conditions at Gitmo,” she says. “That is simply not the case. Those people are lying to the American people.”

Morgan, who began her career reporting on the 1983 Beirut, Lebanon Marine Barracks bombing, where 241 Marines were killed, goes on to describe what she discovered during her three-day visit.

“The terrorists at Gitmo are given more religious consideration than our troops are,” Morgan explains. “They have six meal plans every day that they can choose from. At the beginning of the week on Monday they describe what kind of foods that they would like. If the fresh fruit is bruised, they are allowed to return it for a higher quality fruit.

“They live in air conditioned state of the art buildings,” she adds. “In fact, in one of variants of ‘compliance’ centers (what the lockups are called), the most dangerous terrorists in the world are kept in a facility that was built modularly based on the facility in Terre Haute, Indiana.

“So, there is a communication center in the middle, and the inmates are kept in rooms that form a spoke around there. They are allowed to shower every single day for 15 minutes. They have more exercise and recreational time than American school children do.

“In fact, the lowest security inmates are allowed 14 hours a day outside of their cell. They are taught English. They are allowed to read from six newspapers a day. They have painted arrows on the concrete floors pointing to Mecca so that the radical Muslims can pray five times a day.”

Top 10 Lefty Quotes of 2008 PDF E-mail
Written by Melanie Morgan
Friday, 02 January 2009

My new column at WorldNetDaily.com is a compilation of the top stupid lefty quotes of the preceding year. Sheesh, the sorting process was such hard work. I am totally spent.

But, as you know, this past year was a real stinker as far as politics go. Conservatives were stuck in the mud and liberals pulled off a real hat trick by electing Barack Obama, buddy of terrorists, hateful preachers and other enemies of the state. But, hey, we've got change.

I'm a glass-half-full gal, so I want to point out the good things that happened in 2008. Comic relief is in order, which is why I have researched my favorite stupid liberal quotes and offer them to you today. Most come from President-elect Obama, which is only fair because he is The One. The quotes also give insight into the alleged brilliant mind of Obama.

Don't let these quotes scare you. I'm sure they were all just little slip-ups, nothing that would point to a really ignorant guy with no executive experience who will soon command the country's armed forces.

Obama promises to approach foreign policy in a new way. But he might want to get down the basics on the United States before sitting down for a chat with Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad .

Enjoy.
