The blogosphere is beginning to buzz over the story of Jason Swartout, an Iraqi war veteran, alongwith his wife and four children, who stood guard on a street corner in Pennsylvania with American flags and love in their heart for this country.
They were viciously assaulted by Hillary campaign supporters and other 'peace thugs', stomped, hit and spat upon in front of young children. Their 14-year old son was also injured because he has videographing the demonstration.
This story is going viral now among conservatives, but still has no MSM traction.
Get busy, people.
MaroonedinMarin has more.
UPDATE: Jason and Carrie Swartout have the video of the entire ugly assault. It will be made available shortly. It was in the hands of the District Attorney's office which is investigating whether charges will be filed.

Yes, it is Jack Murtha to whom I am referring. Uncharacteristically, I am being kind. I must be losing my vitriolic touch.
Human Events reporter Katie O'Malley is picking up the slack, though.
Read the entire piece here.
John Murtha is Sorry
By Katie O'Malley
Representative John Murtha is one sorry man, and by sorry, I do not mean apologetic. His efforts to smear the military in the court of public opinion, the Marines in particular, has been elaborate, elongated and disgraceful. It is hard to fathom that this man was ever a member of a group that he seems to hold in such contempt. His distaste has such a powerful hold on him that, when asked on Nightline on January 2, 2006 if he would join today’s military, the Vietnam Veteran and Marine firmly answered, “No.” One can only assume the feeling is mutual.
Murtha’s character assassination of the Haditha Marines, long before the facts were available, and his efforts turn the public opinion against them will go down in American history as one of the most egregious acts of hate and slander against the United States military since…well, the last time anyone from Code Pink opened her mouth.

Americans will be welcoming home one the outstanding heroes of Iraq ..it's leader General David Petraeus.
Secretary of Defense Robert Gates is announcing today that General Petreaus is assuming leadership of Central Command in Florida.
General Ray Odierno (Petraeus') second-in-command in Iraq, will take over the top spot.
Speaking to many troop members in Kuwait last January, one of the stories that I reported was the friction between CentCom and Iraq's top military command.
With this news today, that should stop. Petraeus will face Congressional approval, and of course the anti-war bozos will use the hearings to create another circus atmosphere. But General Petraeus, who co-authored the successful 'surge' strategy that has turned the tables on the insurgency, is a sure bet.
General Petraeus -- we salute you! Thank-you for your service and welcome home!

My e-mail box is over-flowing with alarming news from Pa. where the Gathering of Eagles witnessed a 14-year old boy attacked by Peace Thugs.
This news is so disturbing and so typical, that a website has now been established to document this intensifying level of violence against patriotic Americans. www.peacethugs.com
Dan Maloney, my friend and GOE NY Coordinator writes about this outrage.
Iraq War Veteran and Family Assaulted!
Peace Fascists, College Professors and Hillary Supporters assault Iraqi War Veteran and Family while citizens do nothing to intervene.
Edinboro, PA, Apr. 22
For the second time in as many weeks, an Iraq War Veteran and his family held a Support the Troops rally across the street from the weekly “peace” protest in this college town. This week the true nature of the ‘peace’ activists was revealed for all to see. When the veteran’s 14 year old son crossed the street to videotape the protesters and their signs, the protesters became agitated and began harassing the boy. The right to record video in any public venue is long established in law and any attempt to interfere with that right is a violation of civil rights.
Seeing the escalating tension across the street, the veteran and his wife crossed over, leaving their three youngest children on the other side for safety while they went to retrieve their eldest son. Two of the female ‘peace’ protesters then attacked the veteran’s wife. When the veteran pulled one of those attackers off his wife he was jumped by four or five of the ‘peace’ people and knocked to the ground where they held him while beating him and smashing his eyeglasses.
The son pulled the remaining attacker off his mother, but the attacker managed to get in one last kick to his mother’s head with her boot. She then punched the son in his face while his mother called the police.

I have been so busy today working on a fund-raiser for Move America Forward to support our troops,(details coming up shortly) that I have not flipped on the TV, the radio, or even much Internet surfing.
But in some of my conversations with Jewish and Republican donors this evening, I am hearing expressions of optimism that a Republican will ultimately be in the White House.
Is the base rallying? It appears increasingly so.
Senator Obama has a BIG problem, evidenced by the Philadelphia debates.
Jed Babbin at Human Events reports on the 'Glass Jaw' displayed by the Junior Senator from Illinois.
Okay, let me kick you over to Glenn Reynolds at Instapundit.com for his round-up, but before I do let me say this --I am sick and damn tired of hearing Democrats gush about Democrats.
I am ecstatic hearing Democrats continuing to bash Democrats.

TIGERHAWK:
Hillary's victory speech was pretty good, at least by her standards. She is no Obama, but certainly made it seem as though she were in for the long haul. Frank Luntz, by the way, agreed, calling it "fantastic, absolutely the best speech I've heard her give."
I cannot recall her giving a better one, but that doesn't make it "fantastic." But here is the key point: Hillary Clinton will not quit at anything she truly dedicates herself to do. In that regard, she reminds me of none other than George W. Bush. . . . I noted, by the way, that New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine was in the background behind Hillary, clapping away for the cameras to record. He has apparently recovered from his bout of superdelegate vapors.
Watch those weathervanes over the next few days.
UPDATE: Now Obama's on, and he's declaring victory because, well, he just is. Also, Bush is evil. TalkLeft has more.
MORE: Jennifer Rubin thinks Obama sounds bitter. More here.
STILL MORE: Marc Ambinder: Clinton Internet Fundraising: 100K in 20 minutes?
FINALLY: A foolproof prediction: Six more weeks of pandering!
CARLY FIORINA FOR VICE PRESIDENT? I don't see it. She certainly doesn't come off very well as a manager in Michael Malone's book on HP.
Here's our interview with Malone, by the way.
