Two elite media reports are out today about last weekend's California Democratic Convention in San Jose which featured an enraged former President Bill Clinton over questions from some uncommitted super-delegates.

The Associated Press report downplays the temper tantrum by Clinton over a 'double-cross' by New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson when he endorsed Obama over Hillary.
"He sort of gets a little redder and redder and redder, but he wasn't off the deep end as I had seen him in the past," said Inola Henry, an uncommitted superdelegate. "It was sort of like, 'Gee, I'm a martyr.' He seemed more hurt than anything.
Matier and Ross in today's San Francisco Chronicle skew the story differently:
In fact, before his speech Clinton had one of his famous meltdowns Sunday, blasting away at former presidential contender Bill Richardson for having endorsed Obama, the media and the entire nomination process.
"It was one of the worst political meetings I have ever attended," one superdelegate said.
My, what a difference a decade makes, and a hotly contested Democrat primary.
In 1998, I was treated to Bill Clinton's snarling, red-faced rage through the limosine window when he drove up to the Getty mansion in San Franciso during impeachment proceedings.
Clinton took a look at me with my megaphone in hand, leading five thousand of our closest jeering friends, and a huge banner that read 'I believe Monica, Gennifer, Kathleen etc. etc.'
If looks could kill ...I would be double damn dead.
Meanwhile, because I am a 'fair and balanced' Democrat-basher with credentials to prove it, let's focus on Senator Obama out on the campaign trail.
