Courage and Honor

...and as I board an airplane at San Francisco International airport in a few hours, I will be thinking of the men in the Morgan family who sacrificed their lives for our country - Lt. Robert Morgan - and all the others who served with pride and distinction.

Harold Morgan. George Morgan. Mark Morgan. My hero husband Jack Swanson.

Our country thanks each and every man and woman who died to keep us strong, united and free.

More eloquent thoughts from James Robbins, my friend who writes at the Washington Times.

A society as blessed as ours - its people safe even while at war, prosperous even amidst economic crisis - needs to be reminded that such blessings come at a cost. Memorial Day is a time to remember, but it is more than that. Good men and women go off to war on our behalf, and some do not return. In today's editorial we honor our fallen heroes: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/may/25/remembering-our-heroes/
