|During the past election season, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) could have starred in a remake of the Hollywood cult classic “Attack of the 50-Foot Woman.” In an endless string of campaign ads, Republicans caricatured her — even put her image on billboards — as a political monster. But now, the former House speaker more closely resembles “The Incredible Shrinking Woman.” Her diminished stature has affected the way she is perceived in Washington’s power game and the way she handles her duties as head of the House Democratic minority.|
Meanwhile, the final totals are finally in, for the two worst Congresses in American history. The 110th and 111th Congress turned out to be the absolute worst congress sessions in American history, and the most costly. During both those Congress session, in which Nancy Pelosi was speaker, America racked up a total of $5.34 TRILLION in new debt. According to CNSNEWS, that works out to a staggering $3.66 Billion per day! Pelosi’s spending spree amassed more debt than the first 49 speakers combined!
