The blogosphere is roiling over (on the conservative side) over the choice of Gwen Ifill of PBS as the debate moderator for Thursday night.
Ifill has written a book called "Breakthough: Politics of Race in the Age of Obama." This is a glaring conflict-of-interest that nobody in the MSM is willing to admit exists.
Can you imagine if I were to moderate a debate, or Sean Hannity, or Bill O'Reilly? (Not that we couldn't do it with more scrupulous fairness than say Brian Williams, Charlie Gibson or Katie Couric) but that's not the point. The point is that the liberal media and the lunatic left would be screaming their lungs out, protesting the perceived bias.
Her bio also makes me very nervous.
Ifill's career spans decades. Previously to working at PBS, Ifill was a reporter for NBC News, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Baltimore Sun and Boston Herald American.
I rest my case.
Almost. Ms. Ifill may be a very fine lady, but she is clearly in the tank for Obama. And Senator McCain seems to be clueless about her book, and the implications for Governor Palin's debate appearance. NOT GOOD.
